DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
This project thrives to promote inclusion and diversity in Southeast Asian classrooms. To understand “diversity”, students must begin by acknowledging and understanding the concept of “differences” – in terms of race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic backgrounds. This project lays out a comprehensive, multi-graded and personalized classroom to deepen their understanding on inclusion. This class will be a safe space for learners to be open to talk about these complex issues and why they matter to their lives and communities.
This opportunity can help to enhance students’ critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration and cooperation skills which is necessary to deal with other people in their work place. By opening up the space for diverse learners, this class will play a pivotal role in building a more harmonious, just and peaceful ASEAN.
